This 260 AX was precision crafted in Great Britain, has been tested and is in excellent condition: 9.0 of 10. Used. Please see all photos for detail cosmetics. Note the almost new condition of the underneath mechanicals. The beautiful, plastic, tinted dust cover is in exceptional condition: 9.0 of 10. During design of your audio equipment layout, take into account that the dust cover lifts off – the cover is not hinged. Includes: OEM RCA patch cable. Dust cover. Shure M81MC cartridge with an ED T2 stylus. Tested with an Onkyo TX-80 receiver [not included], a vintage 33 rpm music record [not included], a pair of Paradigm Atom speakers [not included] and Pioneer SE-2 headphones [not included]. Music sounded accurate and pleasing. The automatic mechanism correctly dropped the 12” 33 rpm record from the tall spindle, the tone arm swung over and descended, the record played to the end, the tone arm returned automatically and the mechanism turned off automatically. Separately, the tonearm lift / lower lever works properly to allow manual cuing. Aside: In my personal opinion, based on 30 years as an audiophile, this BSR McDonald 260 AX fully automatic turntable would be an impressive addition to your vintage stereo electronics collection / home theater [including Pioneer / Kenwood / Sony / Yamaha / Marantz equipment – not included]. ~Actual Photos Shown~ This item is in pretty good cosmetic condition. It has also been loaded with six discs tested, and works great! This player does not like scratched disks, new cds recommended. Unlike many modern players that read through nearly anything, this machine simply will reject the disc and not play it. It just skips it moves onto the next one after it has trouble. The +10 repeat and shuffle buttons don’t work on the face. Both the RCA and TRS outputs were tested and work well. The disc changing mechanism in my opinion is quite fast. It flips through discs really well. BSR is the brand that made the original vinyl record Changer player back in the 70s, surprised to see their name on a CD product. BSR Mcdonald Model 810 Transcription Turntable. The table works and sounds good except for the stop button which does not work. You have to unplug the table to stop it otherwise everything else works well. One of the RCA cables was repaired as shown but works well.
