Spendor BC1 Speakers. Serial Numbers 5965 / 66. No reserve auction. For Sale is a pair of Spendor BC1 Speakers with consecutive serial numbers 5965 and 5966. They were manufactured circa 1975 and are therefore an early pair (27000+ pairs of BC1 were produced). They have their original and sought after Blue Alnico magnets. The cabinets are in very nice almost unmarked condition. The Speakers sound superb. The stands are included FOC if you want them. A pair of Spendor bc1 loudspeakers and Spendor original stands. Consecutive serial numbers (17910 &17911). Matching pair of Spendor bc1 speakers, designed for the BBC as studio monitors. There are some marks on the cabinets due to age, but still sound fantastic! 3 way bass reflex design with 8 woofer, 1.25 tweeter and 0.75 super tweeter, 8 ohm impedance. Very little use over the last 10 years so reluctantly selling them on for someone else to enjoy. They are from a pet and smoke free home. Any questions please ask, happy to demonstrate on collection. Note, this is collection only. I am not able to pack these for a courier to collect. Several people have also asked for photos with the grills removed, Ive not been able to do this unfortunately. I have owned these units, (Serial Nos 3177 & 3178) for many years and I have used them with Quad and Marantz amplifiers. They are in very good condition apart from a blemish on the top of one of them. They were recently used, listening to a variety of music and voice and sounded as sweet as ever. No wonder the BBC had a hand in their design. I feel Collection is the only safe way to ship these because of weight and size.

For Collectors Sony DEJ017CK Walkman Portable CD Player (D-EJ017CK/BC1) Read description. This is an open package missing the ear clip headphones. This unit had batteries installed and shows signs of them leaking. I cleaned out compartment and put test batteries and a cd in. Unit turns on and Cd spins. All buttons worked but see pic for display looks like middle part doesnt all work. The power adapter and cassette have not been removed from package. Include manual. Being sold as is due to unknowns. Spendor BC1 Speakers with stands for sale. Sequential serial numbers 22122 and 22123 These speakers have been in storage for some time. I have wired them up to my NAD sound system to check that they are both working. Upon testing I have found thatone speaker is working perfectly. The other one is working, but shortly after switched on, it starts wavering in and out with a tinny sound, hence why I have listed them as parts only. I am not familiar with speaker mechanics and so I cant advise what the problem might be. It might be a quick fix, it might not be. The one that is faulty is the one with the damage to the bottom right hand corner of the face plate and cabinet. So the other one, that is working as it should be, is in better condition. The cabinets show signs of wear, scratches, scuffs, water rings and some paint speckles (these should scrape off easily enough). They look like they have been varnished at some point as well. Please check the photos for further description of exterior condition. I am including a pair of metal speaker stands with the purchase price, as you can see in the pictures they have significant damage to the paintwork and some of the plastic on the ends is chewed (by a previous pet dog).
