This Ayre Acoustics AX-7e Evolution Integrated Amplifier is in excellent working condition and has been well cared for. No gouges or visible nicks. Included is the original cord and remote control which works perfectly, but also the manual and original box. I will ship double boxed with insurance coverage for full value and I prefer FedEx because they are more reliable than UPS or USPS. I am including a pair of audioquest 20 RCA Topaz Hyperlitz cables. I bought it on Audiogon.com and have owned it for a year and a half but recently bought a Class A Luxman amplifier because I want to drive two pairs of speakers. Selling my Ayre K1xe preamplifier with phono stage and remote. This is an outstanding preamplifier which I used in my demo room to showcase my Grand Aspen Speakers. The phono stage comes with a pack of resistors so you can adjust the gain to match your cartridge. I currently have the phono stage set for my Dynavector XV I moving coil cartridge. I would have rated this an 8 out of 10 but there are some scuff marks on the external power supply which you can see in the photos so that is why the rating is a 7. The amplifier will be safely packed in a foam lined audio box and the external power supply will be packed with the remote and power cord in a separate box. Ayer Evolution Amplifier from my late uncle. Tested to power on and buttons all work, but otherwise I do not have the equipment to test beyond this point. Ships with original box that indicates this is the upgraded e version (with matching serial number on box). Includes a power cable, and a remote control. Note that the control may not be for this device, as most buttons do not function (power buttons do not power the unit on/off, but the up/down can increase the counter on the screen, and some menu buttons work). This is being sold AS-IS with NO RETURNS. Other than powering the unit on and testing the buttons, I cannot test for how else it works! I will ship this in the original box the unit came with. Up for sale is this amazing Ayre Acoustics KX- 5 Twenty. I owned several remarkable preamps over the years like the Rogue RH-5, Rogue RP-7, Rogue RP-9, Parasound JC2BP and they sounded great in their applications. However, this is hands-down, the finest control amp I have ever used. I am going to streamline my system with an integrated so it is time to move this along. I am the 2nd owner and if there are any marks or scratches I didn’t find them. The pictures represent the condition of this preamp well. I can’t tell you the age of the preamp but I am sure Ayre can help with that. There are numerous on-line reviews extolling the incredible sound of this unit and it mates perfectly with the VX-5 Twenty power amplifier I also have listed here. If someone wants to buy both I will let them go at a discount. The VX-5 is silver so there will be a contrast in your rack system. But together they do sound sublime.
