This review is for the M3V3 speakers. Given the price point of these speakers- what they do is simply fantastic. I sold these speakers to upgrade which now I have a pair of monitor speakers that retailed for over $1000. While my new speakers have an excellent soundstage and superior imaging, I find myself missing the Axioms - especially their midrange. It was so full and balanced. I was a fan of the titanium tweeter. I would certainly not describe it as being bright - I was able to listen for hours without fatigue (pairing components with the speakers could be a problem for some people here, being as accurate as the Axioms are..) Also I do not describe myself as a person who likes bright speakers. The fact that I could change components upstream (amp,preamp, or cabling) and hear an immediate difference through the Axioms is a testament to their neutrality and sound quality. I once took the driver out of one of the speakers, inside the cabinet was dead silent - no standing waves (or very few) and I noticed a pressure difference inside the cabinet, it kinda freaked me out. Apparently this is how these speakers with a 6.5 driver that rolls off at 60hz are able to achieve such a great midrange. I enjoy my new speakers, but the Axioms did more for me - more often, would I get chills or really feel the music. Placement is huge with these , as anyone who knows speakers can tell you, especially most rear ported bookshelf speakers. I will likely buy another pair of Axiom M3s because they brought a smile to my face. Are there better speakers out there? Yes. However, at this price point... Are these one of the best values youll find for speakers that can handle anything you throw at them, including music and movies? Yes- I give them 5 stars on both accounts. They do an excellent job reproducing sound across the spectrum, and their value is without question. If you are unfamiliar with Axiom Audio, they are a Canadian brand that has been building OEM and their own brand of speakers for many years. Axiom Audio has had a long-term and personal involvement with Canadas National Research Council (NRC). NRC has set the standard for loudspeaker measurements and has also conducted groundbreaking psycho-acoustical research. This means that Axioms speakers are designed by folks who know how we humans hear. And they have that Canadien Sound: Linear and Detailed. Construction and Parts The first thing everyone seems to notice about the M3V3 is that they arent your typical square box cabinet design. The second thing anyone will point out is that the tapered design is almost unheard of at this price point. The tapered design of the M3v3 cabinet eliminates a lot of internal resonance. The small form factor of the tapered box also makes for one very light weight but rigid design. The M3v3 is a ported reflex design speaker with a Vortex port at the rear. The Vortex port is Axioms custom designed port that provides more volume in less space. The M3v3 uses a 6.5-inch aluminum driver and a 1 inch titanium tweeter. There is a cross over at 2.2kHz, but this is a mechanical cross-over. As in, the woofer quickly rolls off on its own at 2.2kHz, and the tweeter takes over from there. This is an extremely unique design that eliminates the possibility of low-cost crossover components degrading the signal quality. These speakers have no dents, no chipped areas, no blemishes, no defects. They are unmarred and have a brand-new appearance. Packed in their original Axiom boxes with all of the original packaging materials. The owners manual and wire/connection accessories are included. Not only are they tested daily,but they are also used as fronts for my home theater right now. Sounding better as Version 3 than the older Axiom M3V2 or previous generation. There is a huge difference between Version 2 and these speakers! Soundstage, More Detailed, Instruments are placed more accurately as far as spacial characteristics. Far superior sounding to previous Milennia M3 generations. These have been used with top grade electronics, never abused, distorted or installed in unconditioned spaces. No scratches or signs of use, pristine driver cones, essentially they have always been on the wall. Pictured with front grills removed, however all grills are in tact, no tears, or markings on the cloth. These come with factory black brackets, which I never used, manuals and factory packaging. Also come with factory articulated cast aluminum white brackets. These are uniquely designed and work equally well with Atmos setups in a side ear level or rear positions Will be shipped in factory boxes and plastic from 02493. Offered is a very nice hi fidelity Goodmans Axiom 150 Mk2 --10 inch speaker in a custom made veneered cabinet.Built for me in the 70s--the speaker is mounted high in the cabinet-the cabinet is built of 3/4 inch particle board--veneered and trimmed with bleached sycamore The cabinet is lined with 1 inch thick sound absorbing felt--the rear panel has a 9 x9 Acoustic Resistance Unit built in-and the cabinet is 36 inches tall by 16 inches deep.Despite its age the speaker (for domestic reasons (the family couldnt stand the bass response)) has only seen 20 to 30 hours of use,and as such is in near mint condition.Speaker responds to a 3 volt battery..Cannot separate.

This is a great center that i used personally for a few years. Im always upgrading, so i spent a lot of money to find one better than this. Been saving it for a spare, but time to make some room.
