I can think of another preamp that I had in my room not too long ago that cost considerably more, but it was not five times better. $5450 is certainly not chump change, at least not around my house. That being said, it is certainly not out of line for what the AVM PA5.2 offers, and in today’s high end audiophile market that is something of a bargain. To match the performance you would likely have to spend at least twice that much, if not a considerable amount more. And to get any noticeable improvement you would need to spend three times as much at the minimum, based on my experience! This could be the AVM 60 you’ve been waiting to see. I am the original owner. The AVM 60 is in excellent condition and works flawlessly. It comes with everything in the picture that came with this preamp, including both original owner’s manuals, the remote control, and Anthem’s ARC Genesis. If you’re aware of using a tool like ARC Genesis, that takes your listening environment out of the sound equation, then you know that the ARC Genesis is considered to be one of the top tools for doing that. So you can get the same pleasure I got while unboxing the AVM 60, it also comes with the original plastic bags that contain items like the remote, the antennas and the manuals. The AVM is wrapped in a protective bag. I hope youll get as much joy from owning this preamp as I did.
