I’m planning for a move abroad and have made the difficult decision to sell my Boston Acoustics speaker system. I bought this pair of Cherry VR-M50s brand new in 2004. I would’ve kept them forever if it weren’t for this move. I take very good care of my gear and I’m not sure you will be able to find better quality examples out there. Even the glossy top surface is completely free of scratches and the screens are perfect with zero snags. If you’re looking at this, then you know these Reference Series speakers are legendary and have a very good reputation for performance. These will arrive at your door in the original box (with paperwork), about as close as you can get to buying them new. In case you are interested, please note that I’m also selling a Boston Acoustics CPS 8Wi Subwoofer as well. It has also been babied and is in like-new condition. Please purchase with confidence, I have sold expensive gear for 20 years here on eBay and have a 100% feedback score. Rest assured that these speakers are in excellent physical condition (no major marks, dings, scratches, etc.) and sound just as great as the day I originally bought them. As you can see in the pictures, please note that one of the speakers has a visible seam line in the finish on one of the sides. It has been there since I bought them new and has not split over time. USED. Collection from Bromley / Orpington BR6 (South London / North Kent). This came out of a £7m mansion, so I imagine the quality is top notch! There are two light minor spots which are not noticable when being used. The white screen measures about 10 foot or 120 inches from one corner to another diagonally or 127 inches with the black frame. Comes with a couple of bars that fix to the wall. I think the screws are missing though. Steel bars are inserted into a looped seem that runs round the edge of the material. Gamma acoustics Space Reference 300b parallel amplifier and matching Era pre amp. Here for sale is my Gamma Acoustics Space Reference 300b parallel amp and a matching Gamma acoustics era pre amp. This 300b parallel is a 45kg monster, the transformers are massive. I bought this in 2005 from the original owners son, after his father passed passed away. His father bought these after hearing them at I believe the 1996 Manchester hifi show, for a staggering almost £10,000. These units were specially made for the show, apparently they had silver everything and the best of components and care in assembly. These have recently had a service and overview by a vintage hifi specialist. A few marks here and there, they are after all over 27 years old but they are built like battleships. I am now just about to get my pension and also now wear a hearing aid. So am selling off parts of my hifi collection, as the equipment far out reaches my ability to hear it , hence this particular sale. Time for someone else to enjoy, nothing quite like a 300b glowing blue, late into the evening. Gamma Acoustics itself was formed by Shabir a.k.a. Mohammed Bhatti of Audio Acoustics and soon included Andy Grove of hifi world, Quad and now Audio Note fame. I think if memory serves me right that Nick at hifi emporium was also perhaps involved in the early days. The best amps they produced were their early examples of which I believe this to be one. They were then manufactured by Andy Grove who continues to be one of the brightest amp designers around, a real audio genius. Even then, some of their amps were £30k plus, Ken Kessler and 6moons audio refer to them. See pictures of some reviews of their equipment and the original invoice which was net of a part exchange. Shipping globally at these weights is obviously difficult, packed both probably weigh in at close to 60kg. I do have the original boxes with the packing materials made specifically to hold the units. I know these were popular in Italy and a few other countries. Collection or a meet up somewhere would make most sense but am happy to look into pallet shipping if necessary.
