Rogers LS3/5a speakers, original 15ohm, matched pair,16060 serial number, black. I have owned these speakers from new and they are in very good condition, but they have been used for quite a while so they do have a few very small cosmetic marks that I have tried to show in the photos - but those marks are small. The cabinets do have some marks on the base though from where they have been sitting on spikes on my stands. I only saw these when I took the photos for this sale, they do not show when in use. The speakers are entirely original, I have never even taken the fronts off. I have original Rogers packaging so could send by courier but would far sooner they were collected so they could be auditioned.

Rogers LS3/5a Speakers 15 Ohm Gold Badge 1974 Brown Cloth Grills 12mm Ply Wood Cabinets No Serial Numbers - A & B Etched On The Back Panel These speakers were originally owned by a BBC engineer who worked at the BBC Design Department at Western House in London. They do not have any serial numbers and just have an A & B simply etched on the back panel. They are believed to be a pre production pair which were sent to the BBC for final approval prior to the BBC licence being granted and before main production got underway. The Speakers have been appraised by LS3/5a.com and after comparing and cross referencing with there large data base of historical technical data on the LS3/5a they have confirmed that the construction and components used in this pair of speakers would indicate that they are one of the very earliest pairs ever made by Rogers in 1974. At some point during the mid to late 1970s the Speakers were given to a family relative as a gift and have spent the last 45 years or so in there living room where they have provided many years of musical pleasure. In full working working condition, the listening experience is balanced and detailed. Condition is as seen in the photos with some expected ageing to the cabinets but overall very good. The Speakers will be very well packed and you will receive them exactly as seen in the photos.
