These black socks fit Magneplanar MMG and and were very carefully removed so that they could be reused. In near perfect condition. Removed from brand new MMGs for color change. May fit other models, but I dont know for sure.

Selling a pair of extremely rare vintage Magnepan Magneplanar Model MG-1.5/QR Loudspeakers in their original found condition. Estate Find. The estate was filled with high quality electronics and unique collectibles. The speakers measures approx. 19 by 65 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches thick. One speaker sounds exceptional. The other speaker only has sound near the bottom and will require servicing. Consecutive serial numbers. There are scratches, marks and holes in the fabric. This unique technology moves the entire half square metre of Mylar film in phase with the music (see data sheet attached). A high-frequency section and crossover network are integrated in each unit. After you have heard the full breadth of your music through these, anything else will sound like music through the keyhole! Manufactured in 1985, but still not bettered! Drive with your favourite amplifier, just like any other 4ohm speakers. Dimensions (each loudspeaker): 122cm (H) x 48cm (W) x 4.4cm (D!), Weight: 10.9kg. Nach 12 Jahren Bauzeit wurde die international renommierte Magnepan MG 3.6 durch das neue Modell MG 3.7 abgelöst, welches nach weiteren 3 Jahren eine überraschende Modifikation mit dem Modell MG 3.7i (improved) erhielt. Vintage Magneplanar Magnepan MG1 Panel Speakers. Tested and Working. Pair Some of the coolest speakers I have come across. I just don’t have room for them in my listening room. To use them properly they need to be placed 4’ from the wall and I don’t have room to do that. I am NOT a speaker expert. But the sound behind the speaker seemed to be even better than the front. With the space behind the speakers it produces what I can only inadequately describe as a surround sound effect. I say again that I am not a speaker or audio expert and that may not be the correct way to describe it. It certainly is different and cool. They work great. I did not own them 50 years ago so I cannot tell you if they are as good as they were then. Everything I have read suggests you might want to use a subwoofer with these if you like thumping bass (like I do). I would rather sell them locally due to weight and fragility. They are very solid but being so thin and the material involved looks like they would damage easily. If shipped it will be at buyer’s risk. I will pack them thoroughly with protection and they should be fine. But that will be your decision. If you know a better way of shipping, contact me and we will be glad to use it. If you know these speakers you know this is a great price. If you don’t know anything about them research them like I did. If I had more room they wouldn’t be for sale.
