Offered for your consideration is a pair of Infinity Universal Satellite US-1 Type 333592 two-way speakers, manufactured c.1999. The US-1 feature 4” poly cone mid/bass woofers and ½” dome tweeters. These capable drivers are housed in bass-ported cabinets constructed of durable, easy to clean gray plastic. So, please see my large photos, the specs image, and read the remaining description to decide if these capable Infinity surround speakers should be yours. This pair of Infinity US-1 is in clean, excellent condition. There are no cracks, dings, or true scratches to the enclosures, just a few light scuffs and marks from the years as typical. Plus, the metal grilles are in great shape with no dents or oxidation noted and the Infinity emblems look nice with just some finish wear at the end of the letter y on both, as pictured. These Infinity speakers present exceptionally well at all distances. In addition, the woofer cones and tweeter diaphragms are perfect, having been well-protected behind the non-removable metal grilles. Plus, the woofers have permanent rubber surrounds that should last indefinitely. Most importantly, the US-1’s play strong and clear with fast, detailed midrange, sparkly 20kHz highs, and solid low-end response for the platform size. Plus, they’re rated to 100 watts per channel, so it’s a definitely a sturdy platform. And, the heavy-duty binding post +/- terminals are conveniently housed behind trap doors that also double as wall mounts as explained in the owner’s manual available online for free. The terminals can accommodate banana plugs, pins, as well as hold fairly large gauge raw cable tightly. Overall, these are some purpose-built, nicely-executed speakers!
