A superb AUDIO RESEARCH CLASSIC 60 POWER AMPLIFIER. Bought from a collectors vast Audio collection and of all the equipment he had this was the amp he used in his own system. It’s in very good condition and has been checked over and working to specification Pure triode output. 60 Watts per channel. 4/8/16 outputs. 550mv Sensitivity 100K so will work well with a Passive Pre-amp if needed. Four KT88/6550 per channel in Triode mode. The Classic 60 has several special features. Superb heavy build quality in USA. Triode configured output stage using four 6550 per channel. Uses ARs Partial Cathode Coupling MOS FET and double triode first stages. Relay protected output. Fan cooled output stage. It is supplied with the original User manual. Mains Lead with UK plug. A pair of Audio Research Classic 120 valve hybrid monoblocks in great condition.Cabinets and fascia have a few marks.The amps run perfectly and the valves have plenty of life.The fan system has been replaced with a silent system with speed controllers with a readout.The original fans are included and could be put back in 20 minutes if required.The only issue with the amps is a minor one. One of the power toggles has been replaced with a standard one that does not match the original though you have to look hard.Superb pair of amps with gobs of power and classic Audio Research sound.
